Als heer en meester beheerst een aantal katten de binnentuinen van een huizenblok. Vanaf daken en balkons controleren zij deze, voor hen openbare ruimte; schuttingen fungeren slechts als uitkijkpost. De bewoners worden bestudeerd en soms getolereerd.

Ingreep: In deze microkosmos staat een vrijstaand huisje dat het wonen aan de binnentuin symboliseert. Als hoeksteen is hier een glazen bak met muizen aangebracht, als venster op de wereld: muis vs. kat en mens vs. omgeving. Ieder schat zijn kansen.

A number of cats hold sway in the back gardens of a row of houses. From rooftops and balconies they monitor this, for them public, space. Fences serve merely as observation posts. The residents are investigated and sometimes tolerated.

Intervention: In this microcosm there is a detached small house, which symbolizes the habitat in the back yard. A glass container with mice is inserted as a cornerstone, as a window to the world: mouse vs. cat and men vs. environment. Everyone assesses one's own chances.
